Bougainvillea "Bambino" as low hedge

Hi,

I love the Bambino bougainvillea "panda" which has a white flower.  Would like to grow it as a hedge in full sun to about 1m high.   Do you think this is possible ?  Regards Francesca Perth WA.

 Hi Francesca,

Yes ! I think it would make an excellent hedge.   Be aware it may take some time to grow into a hedge shape.   It will require regular pruning to keep it in shape also.  Just a suggestion... but you do not have to keep it in a standard rectangle shape,  you could have a hedge with a rounded top, it will be a little easier to grow this way.   Another suggestion, you may like to place the plants fairly close together, Eg  60cm apart, this way it will fill out the hedge faster.
