In the right conditions strawberry plants will grow throughout the year. They will slow down in winter, but still produce the odd fruit now and then. It is best to fertilise strawberries during the warm season, however if you are using liquid fertilisers you can give them a little liquid fertiliser to keep them growing well in winter (however not in very cold climates). You can use a general purpose granular fruit and vegetable fertiliser on strawberries also during the warm growing season. Around 20 grams once every two months during the growing season. Liquid fertilisers are excellent for growing strawberries. The best liquid fertilisers to use are seaweed based fertilisers with NPK. Liquid fertilisers can be used once every two weeks during the growing season for great results.
