Australia native plants for hedging and shaping

Good day,

I live in Adelaide about 1km from the coast.  I am looking for a native plant for hedging.  Conditions range from full sun to quite shady.  The plant needs to be desne and tall enough to give complete privacy from neighboring properties.  Drough tolerance is a must.  Thanks David.

Hi David,

There are quite a few plants which would be suitable for what you ask, they are as follows: Acmena smithii,  Albany Woolly bush,  Syzygium australe or paniculatum,  Grevillea olivacea, Grevillea Superb, Grevillea "Robyn gordon",  Callistemon "Hanna ray".  These should give you a good start regards your research.   They all can be pruned and maintained to the height you require.
