Indoor plant turning yellow, Dracaena

Question:

Hi,

I have a Dracaena Marginata plant at my home in Campbelltown, south australia.  The plant was bought about 10 weeks ago and replanted into a new pot.  It is about 500mm high.  The plant is kept indoors.   During the last 4 weeks, I'm finding that the leaves are loosing their green shade and are turning a very light yellow green, even the new leaves are a light shade of green/yellow.  Do you know what is happening.  Regards Priya

Answer:

Hi Priya,

It is possible two things are occuring,  too much water and not enough light.  Dracaena plants are suitable for low light conditions,  however when they receive very little light they do tend to turn a yellowish colour.   Too much water will also tend to make them go yellow.
