It is important to fertilize your bulb plants at the right time. Generally the best time to fertilize them is just as the new grow this starting to develop. The application of a general purpose fertilizer or bulb food is recommended. Slow release fertilizer is also excellent. Granular fertilizer use around 10grams per plant or around 50grams for a square metre of bulbs. For slow release fertilizers consult the instructions on the container. Usually only one application is sufficient for bulb plants per year.
