When and how to fertilise hedge plants

To maintain constant growth hedge plants require regular fertilising.  For flowering hedges fertilise just before flowering begins and just after flowering finishes.  For foliage hedges, fertilsing can be done in the wamer months twice, to three times.  For most hedge varieties a dose of around 40grams (large handful) per m2 is sufficient.
