Magnolia "Little Gem" not growing - Jo, Sydney

Hi People,

I planted a Magnolia Little Gem a couple of years ago on our footpath - sun all day, watered about once a week.  It has flowered about 5 times, and seems healthy, but just doesn't  seem to grow much at all.  There may not be a huge depth of soil where we are (we're in Sydney, on the lower Nth Shore and we are on sandstone).  What should I do to help it to grow - or do I just wait. Regards Jo, Sydney.

Brown patch in lawn - Wynand - Quinns Rock - WA

Hi,

I am hoping you can help me.  I live in Quinns Rock in Western Australia and have recently bought a house.  The lawn seems to be fairly new (around 6 months) and it has started to develop brown patches which are spreading.  I have fed and regularly watered it, bit it seems to be spreading to and is approx 4 sqm.  Any ideas what I can do? Someone mentioned a beetle that might be killing off the roots, is that possible.?  Thanks Wynand, Quinns Rock WA
