A fast growing tree, which is drought tolerant once established 5-7m. It is evergreen but can be semi-deciduous in cooler climates. The leaves are fern like and grow thick across the branches. The flowering is prolific and occurs in late winter/spring. Mauve flowers are produced on the end of the branches. More suited to large or country gardens dueto it's broad habit. Virgilias' will grow in most soils, but prefer well drained. NSW,QLD,VIC,SA,WA
