Double Flowering Cherry Plum - Prunus x blireana

Small tree around 3-4m. Neat vase shape. Red new growth, green leaf with red underside. Masses of dark pink double flowers in Spring. Deciduous. Hardy and waterwise once established. Grows across southern parts of Australia. NSW, VIC, SA, WA, TAS and cooler inland areas of QLD. Highly recommended as a drought tolerant tree as is it's cousin, Prunus nigra.

Olive trees.

Olives are the most recognised Meditteranean tree. They are Evergreen and have thick grey foliage, which make a great back drop in waterwise gardens. They are drought tolerant once established. They are long lived. Normally growing to around 5m but can get bigger in optimum conditions. They grow very well in Australia and will grow in all states. Olives can be pruned into large standards or hedges. Olives will grow in most soils, especially good in limestone soils where other trees have trouble growing. Full sun is preferred.

Cordyline Australis

Cordyline Australis will grow to around 3m and makes a great tall plant for waterwise gardens. There are number of varieties becoming available in nurseries, with interesting foliage colour. The plants normally produce one or two stems and look best when mass planted, so plant a few together. They can grow in full sun or partial shade. Well drained, organic soil is preferred by these plants. NSW,VIC,QLD,SA,WA. Cordylines are a native of New Zealand.

Conifer - Shirles Supreme.

Shirles Supreme is a conifer which will grow to around 4m. It has an attractive conical shape once mature. No major pests, but can be effected rarely by Cypress Canker if the plant is stressed. It is water wise once established and lives for many years. The foliage has a slight golden tinge. Will grow in most soils. NSW,QLD,VIC,SA,TAS,WA.
