Liriope - "Evergreen Giant"
A strappy leaf plant that grows from 50 to 70cm. The thin leaves have a lush shine and mauve sprays of flowers are borne in spring/summer/autumn. Can grow in full sun but looks best in semi-shade conditions. Moderate watering required. Is generally a low maintenance plant. Mostly used in mass plantings around feature plants or along a paths. Also looks great in raised beds. Requires a rich well drained soil to do best. Snails and slugs can be a pest and strip the leaves. NSW, QLD, WA, SA, VIC.

Flax - Phormium sp
Upright foliage plants, which clump to form think groups. Originally from New Zealand they come in many different sizes from 5Ocm up to 3m tall. As a garden plant they are low maitenance and require moderate watering. Suitable for most of the southern parts of Australia. Sub tropical areas of the mainland to cool temperate areas of TAS. Not suitable for areas prone to heavy frosts. Flaxes have become very popular in recent years in contemporary low maintenance style garden. They look great in mass plantings.

African iris - Dietes vegetata
Dietes vegetata is an upright growing grass like plant to just under 1m. The plant forms a clump up to 1m wide. White/blue/yellow flowers are produced in Autumn, on mass. They also spot flower during the year. The foliage stays lime green throughout the year.Waterwise plant once established. Can withstand light frosts.
