The Ficus Standard plant shown, is Ficus Hillii. It naturally grows into a large tree, but makes an excellent large standard plant 2m. Ficus have the advantage of being Evergreen and very tough in winds and hot weather. They can stay in a pot for many years, essentially they are a large Bonsi. Therefore it is important to prune back the roots and also the foliage periodically. They are long lived and have only one main pest which is the Thrip which creates leaf damage.
