Callistemon viminalis "prolific" - Bottle Brush

Callistemon viminalis is small tree to around 5m. It is bushy and has dark green foliage. Masses of red flowers are borne in early spring, but spot flowers through the year. A great tree for large gardens, verges and parks. They can be fast growing in good conditions. soil conditions can be from heavy to sandy and they are drought tolerant once established. No major pests and easy to look after. Only drawback are the spent flowers which can create a bit of a mess after flowering, but it is worth the clean-up!. NSW,QLD,VIC,SA,TAS,WA.
