This plant is commonly sold as an indoor plant but also makes an excellent small tree for Tropical gardens. As a tree they will grow to 4-5m. When young prune low and the plant will produce many new stems, like a bamboo. Once these stems develop, they form a lush looking tree. The advantage of this tree is that it will also grow in low light conditions. After some years it may require pruning once again to develop new branches and revitalise the foliage. Great along a fence, as a screen plant. Suprisingly they will take some frost but require good watering in dry times. Well drained soil required. NSW,QLD,WA,NT,VIC,SA.
