It is important to fertilise your bulb plants at the right time. Generally the best time to fertilise them is just as the new grow this starting to develop. The application of a general purpose fertiliser or bulb food is recommended. Slow release fertiliser is also excellent. Granular fertiliser use around 10grams per plant or around 50grams for a square metre of bulbs. For slow release fertilisers consult the instructions on the container. Usually only one application is sufficient for bulb plants per year.
