Flowering or Evergreen Ash -Fraxinus griffithii

Although the name "Ash" may make you think of a European tree, Flowering Ash is a tree which is well suited to the Tropical look garden. The tree grows to between 4-7 m depending on soil conditions.  If in a resticted space it will tend to stay small, which makes it a great tree for small gardens.  The foliage is a lush green and the flowers are white, borne in Summer.  Generally it is Evergreen, but in cooler climates it will be semi-deciduous.  Can be shaped into a large standard or pletched hedge.  Moderate water requirements.  Best soil conditions are well drained organically enriched, but will grow in a wide range of soils. NSW,QLD,NT,WA parts of SA and VIC.
