Double Flowering Cherry Plum - Prunus x Blireana
Double flowering cherry plums are a popular plant around the world. One reason it is so popular is the beautiful pink flowers which develop in early spring. The foliage is green with a red underside. This tree has a natural vase shape so very little pruning is required. Generally the tree will grow to 4 to 5 mtrs and will live may years. This tree does not produce fruit and is very ornamental in the small or large garden. Maintenance is minimal, which includes the leaf drop in winter, leaves tend to dry up quickly and little leaf material under the tree develops.
