Coryline Australis is a plant with green strap like leaves, that will grow to a height of around 3 mtrs. Generally Cordylines grow as a single plant, but also look great in groups. In the contemporary gardens Cordylines make a great background plant or feature plant. If grouped together along a fence, they create an effective screen plant. Once mature Cordylines will lose leaves from the trunk, leaving a bunch of leaves at the top. Moderate watering is required for Cordylines to look their best. Cordylines can withstand strong winds and salty conditions, so they make a great coastal garden plant. These are a popular modern plant and there are many new varieties available such as Red Sensation, Sundancer, Red Star.
