The Weeping Mulberry Tree is a small, grafted, deciduous feature tree. Weeping Mulberries will grow to a height of around 4m with a spread of 4m. The eventual size of the tree will be affected by the manner in which it is pruned. The Weeping Mulberry are grown for their beautiful flowing form, which is reminiscent of water flowing from a fountain. This shape is particularly obvious when the tree has lost it's leaves in winter, displaying the arching branches, which will grow to the ground if left unpruned. Many gardeners prune their Weeping Mulberry trees in winter to the shape of an umbrella. No flowers are produced, but the tree will produce small red mulberry fruit in spring and summer, which birds love. Weeping Mulberries are a hardy drought tolerant tree, with no major pests. They live for many years and will grow in a wide variety of soils.
