Norfolk Island Hibiscus is a tree which has a height or around 8m and a widith of 4m. The foliage grows thickly and is a lime green colour. The flowers are pink and have a yellow stamen in the centre. The flowers develop over late spring and summer and are prolific. Seed pods are produced after flowering. These seed pods can create a mess under the tree when they drop, as there are masses of them. These trees are very hardy and great for coastal planting if you have a good sized garden. They create good protection in windy areas. Suitable for warm temperate and sub-tropical areas. Grow in full sun, in a well drained organic soil.
