This plant is a hardy perennial. The flowers are poker shaped coloured lavender-blue, pink or white flowers. These plants are related to mints and grow to around 1m tall. The plant is commonly used as a boarder plant.
Growing: Grow from spliting plants or by seed. They like to grow in a sunny spot. They will grow in a wide variety of soil types. Plants will self seed. Anise hyssop can also be grown in containers.
Uses: The seeds are dried and used baking bread and in biscuits. The leaves can also be used to make a tea. Various parts of the plant are also used in potpourri
